The Zipperstrong Project

The Zipperstrong Project tells both inspiring and heartbreaking stories of children and adults affected by CHD. We are proud to collaborate with Winchester-based child-life photographer SheRae Hunter, whose Zipperstrong Project offers outsiders a glimpse into the world of CHD to raise awareness for congenital heart disease.

The project is released annually during CHD Awareness Week (February 7-14), celebrated as a part of Heart Month each February.

The Zipperstrong Project has been featured in local Virginia news outlets, on The Mighty, and annually featured at area heart centers and at the Hope Marietta Foundation's Casino Night that raises awareness about congenital heart disease and supports CHD causes in Virginia.

Dayspring Pens is proud to partner with Conquering CHD through a donation of
engraved pens. It is an honor to be able to donate to an organization that works so
diligently to overcome the most common birth defect in the United States and
    worldwide, congenital heart disease
Originally founded as the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association in 2013, Conquering
CHD quickly filled a niche as the voice of the congenital heart patient and family. They
have been changing both the national landscape and empowering patients and families
in their local communities. Their work fights for all congenital heart disease patients and
their families, from prenatal diagnosis through adulthood and those families who have
    lost loved ones.
Located in Virginia Beach, Dayspring Pens specializes in crafting one of a kind, luxury gift pens
made unique with custom engraving. Each of these engraved pens features
the logo of Conquering CHD, and it is our great wish that the pens will do some good to
help their incredible charity as they work to change the lives of the families affected by
    congenital heart disease.
